When my 7 year old Australian sheepdog passed away at 7 years old DUE to VET Malpractice...I learned it wasn't this dog only but my 2 others who were sick too....the vet told us they were healthy and would send them home...these dogs are with state run daycare kids, some of the vets papers would go straight to DCFS, the vet in those papers would state im in poverty and can not afford my dogs...when actually im a investor with several different companies and do well for myself...my dividends equal most peoples salary-but its beyond the point... I left 1 review about my vet "100% true and about the last 4 years of the 9 I was going there and how service was going poor" next day it was removed....I left 4 or 5 reviews, all were removed... I proceed to turn the vet care into the BBB "which by the way, they settled" I as well turned YELP in as well....the only response I got back was "MY REVIEW HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE BUSINESS AT HAND" AND BASICALLY SAYING I WAS A LIAR... I proceeded on WITH NO FURTHER CONTACT and moved on to recently turning YELP into the state of Illinois... on august 22nd 2019 2 police officers showed up at my door wanting to arrest me...apparently they have me on record calling YELP almost every day for most part of the year making threats, and swearing all the time....I noticed some things with the recording, it did sorta sound like me....but 1. the recording sounded drunk 2. the person claims to be a apache indian...3. the caller calls in at the hours of 11pm and 2 am....4. im as well apparently email *** to them to.... Fact 1. my mother is 100% polish, while my dad was a French/brasilian mix....2. I don't drink...3. I go to bed around the hours of 9-10pm....4. I never emailed the company as I let the BBB or state take control.... I don't know if the guy who had a great time weining money out of my checking is having a great time with me, or is YELP setting me up....this company is not what you think....AND apparently their feelings get hurt fast....

Contacted by Yelp after we moved and reopened our business under a different name ( fresh meat to them) I had done Yelp in the past and already knew that I would not advertise there. The salesman ( account manager) only wanted to show me the promotional program and it would allow them to spend $XX on proving to me that such a program would work. I reiterated that I would not spend money on Yelp ads. I was assured that no money would be charged. I followed up 5-6 days before the end of the month to again state, I was not to be charged. The first came, they billed me $400.51 for basically nothing. No one will answer the phone or return an email. I filed complaint with BBB. On the 9th a customer service rep contacted me and offered to return 5 days worth of the charge ( because my email in essence canceled my program) He insists that there is no way the account manager misrepresented the fees- despite my telling him that I was VERY clear from the beginning that I would not pay for ads on Yelp. Pointless to talk to him.

Yelp is guilty of Bait and Switch illegal marketing practices

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
A sales rep called and wanted to set up a free 2 week evaluation of their services. They requested access to our Yelp account, and said they were going to be making updates to our online business profile so that we could see if our business would get more traffic as a result. The sales rep is the one who changed the settings and set it up. They never contacted me again. A few weeks later I get a bill for about $700 for their online marketing services. At no time did anyone ever tell me how much it was going to cost or even ask me what our marketing budget was. I contacted support, and they refused to give us a refund and are continuing to try to charge us. What they have done is completely dishonest.

They threatened a friend of mine who owns a spa that if he did not do advertising with them, he may find his 5 star reviews buried.

They put al of their manipulating ways under the umbrella of “computer algorithum”... which is complete bull. They took down reviews 9 months later without any reason. So our business went from 5 stars to zero reviews. Scam of a business!

Con artists. Should be shut down. No honesty at all.

Original review Oct 18, 2019
Called in beginning of August and was walked through the process to cancel my account. They have been debiting my account every month since. Called them and was told that they only cancelled account for one location when I have 2. Supposedly that's my fault when I walked through it with one of their reps. Then was told there would be another "small" charge. Experience with yelp tells me that "small" charge will be a couple of hundred bucks more. Yelp is nothing more than an extortion company and should be treated as such.

Systematic Deletion of Reviews and HORRIBLE bullying rep - Adam Frazier

Yelp - Systematic Deletion of Reviews and HORRIBLE bullying rep - Adam Frazier
Yelp - Systematic Deletion of Reviews and HORRIBLE bullying rep - Adam Frazier - Image 2
I am a well-respected professional in repairing watches and clocks for over 40 years now in the Pittsburgh, PA and surrounding areas. I have recorded calls with YELP Representative Adam Frazier, a Senior Elite Account Executive at Yelp (https://www.linkedin.com/in/adam-frazier-a63a774a), who was extremely rude to me and my developer. I have kindly asked my website developer to call and stay with me on a 3 way line, and help me communicate, due to my poor English. Well, not until we got Adam Frazier on the line… So, I had accumulated over 20 recommended reviews from my customers over the course of the last 2 years. However, in the course of the last 6 months or so, I have also been receiving many Yelp sales calls attempting to sell me their monthly advertising, which i have always politely declined. The calls and emails have continued on the on-going and frequent basis throughout this period of time. However, recently,, I started noticing that my reviews have started dropping approximately 3 reviews per week in October 2018. I contacted my developer and we agreed to simply monitor this phenomenon and we started taking screenshots with date/time stamp on daily basis of my business page on Yelp. As we continued to monitor, we understood, that my page has come under target and Yelp's systematic retaliation tactic to drop our reviews to a minimum, because of not signing up for their paid marketing campaign. (We have done much research online and found out that thousands of Yelp users have experienced the same thing). By the end of November 2018, the 20 recommended reviews dropped down to a mere 4 reviews and there's no guarantee that it's the end. I ASKED MY DEVELOPER TO CALL WITH ME TO YELP TO SPEAK WITH MANAGER: Before we placed a call, my website developer and i both knew that Yelp is recording all of the calls, as it states at the beginning of each call. WE have also decided to record it, as well, so that we have proof on our end. On the initial call, we got a rep and she automatically said that she will transfer us to Adam Frazier (but we did not even ask to be transferred to him). Once we got Adam on the phone, we explained the reason why we want to speak with a manager and his tone started changing immediately. Mostly, my developer was doing all the talking because I authorized him to do that, but Adam was refusing to speak with him, even with me being on the phone, as well. Adam was continuously rude and started threatening that he will "block this number" so that we are no longer able to call back in! Adam was getting very aggravated and this is NOT the type of customer service anyone should face at YELP! He ended the call with us and then we called back again moments later. We got another representative and we asked that "we have a complaint about one of the sales rep representatives, called Adam Frazier and we need to speak with a manager about it". The rep named Tony, without any hesitation, says "hold on" and we are immediately transferred back to Adam Frazier??? Adam says there's NO ONE ELSE TO TALK TO and this was the moment i thought that he took on the responsibility of the entire company and refused to put me thru to a manager to express my concern about his poor and aggressive type of customer service. We could not talk to him for much longer and we decided to end the call. However, moments later, Adam Frazier called me back on my personal line to speak with me directly, without my developer. I have expressed concern about all of my reviews being deleted within 1 month and that it was surely in retaliation for me not signing up for paid service. Adam tried to explain the opposite. I was so upset with how he talked to me, and to us, that i my voice was totally shaken up and trembling.. After hearing that, Adam Frazier simply hung up the phone on me and did not even bother calling me back! After Adam hung up on me that day, on November 29, 2018, I did not receive any other calls from him or anyone else at YELP. AS of November 20, 2018, my total recommended reviews stood at 4 in total....Today, on December 6, 2018, it's already at 2 total and will surely keep dropping until there's zero! Basically, after the call I had with Adam Frazier, there are 3 other reviews that were dropped. Coincidence? I do not think so! I urge YELP management to look into Adam Frazier and his handling of the calls that we had with him on November 29, 2018 and take appropriate action. I urge YELP to explain the deletion of my reviews from about 20 recommended reviews, down to 3, as it stands today and why ONE person at Yelp decides to block me from talking to anyone else at the company and now I understand that he may be involved with deletion of my reviews! (PLEASE STOP TELLING CUSTOMERS THAT IT'S THE AUTOMATED SOFTWARE THAT DOES IT). I urge YELP to dig up all the recorded phone calls that day and explain to us why every representative was transferring to Adam Frazier, who's a sales account representative and why he claimed there's NO MANAGER FOR US TO TALK TO HERE AT YELP! He has taken on the responsibilities and stepped over the boundaries at YELP. If there's no explanation to this matter, I will post our recorded conversations virally on the World Wide Web, so that the world can see what Yelp is doing and what the "heroes" that Yelp hires.

True and authentic opinion. Yelp plays with the reviews posted on our business page to their rogue interest. Also true that we depend on this monster in terms of advertising.

WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE ANYWAY TO HELP RUIN A BUSINESS THEY DO ALLOW ANYONE TO SAY WHATEVER THEY WANT!!! YELP HAS NO RIGHT TO GET INTO THE GUN CONTROL ISSUES, OR ANY POLITICAL ISSUES.

MAYBE THEY ONLY ALLOW GOOD REVIEWS TO PEOPLE WHO SIDE UP WITH THEIR POLITICAL AGENDA.. MAYBE A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT WOULD STOP THEM FRON ALLOWING PEOPLE NOT CUSTOMERS TO SAY ANYTHING THEY WISH...

The worst sales experience

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Woofies Waffles (***) ***-**** we continue to receive calls from sales reps. We have asked them to stop calling.

The last rep was so pushy and rude that we again asked them to stop calling and hung up. With in a hour of that call we received a review **Givemefree Y.*San Francisco, CA** friends** review*So we tried flagging the review and we get this message Oops, there was a problem flagging this content. Please try again later. *We are in Rochester, MN and we have a review from SanFranciso, which is were Yelp is based.

Seems like a inside job. You can not call customer service you can only speak to a sales rep.

They do not have any management available. We have asked this review removed and I want their reps to stop calling and harassing our staff.

Preferred solution: remove the review, reps to stop calling and a full investigation in to illegal marketing practices. Also a customer service number that does not go to a sales rep.

I [laced an order for a pair of pair. I noticed I had ordered multiples pair. I canceled the two pairs. I eneded up receiving four pairs.

I paid to ship three pairs back to Zulily. When I called to check of my $30 refund. I was charged $8.95 for three labels that I never received. Zulily implied they can only receive returns with their lables. My shipment was received and then I was charged for the missing labels that I never received. I was only credited $5.22 of my $30 plus dollars.

I'm in!!!!! just reach out to me! I have experienced a lot of things being said on the reviwes on pissed Consumer. Yelp intentionaly hurt my business hiding true and authentic reviews, as well as allowing a bad review to be put up after they took it down because the person was never even in my salon. They tried many times to get us to sign on with their company claiming possibilities could be good outcomes and much more they are scam artist to the first degree. Sadly this far they have gotten away with their shenanigans. but one day we will ban together and win this war. Shear Tranquility Salon and Day Spa Sebastian Fl 329-5-8

NO CSRs, NO TECH SUPPORT!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
That there is no way to contact Yelp for tech support is UNBELIEVABLE. Currently an account exists under my email address which I did NOT create (it was automatically created for me by Google), and that fake account's existence is preventing me from adding that email address to my actual Yelp account. There is NO WAY to delete the account, even though it has zero data attached to it, and there is NO WAY to contact Yelp for support!

25 out of 28 of our customer reviews not posted

To whom it may concern, I was an elementary school teacher and loved my job, but after an accident I had to retire. Finally, after a lot of work my daughter and I opened The Little Farm Preschool. We believe that our school is an important contribution to the community of Maple Valley. Our parents agree and have tried to share their love of our school but are unable to do so through Yelp which is how many families go about looking for a preschool. I am not sure if this is a common complaint but we have 25- 5-star reviews that are on the not recommended list. This is really frustrating since we can prove that every one of those review was written by one of our preschool families and a real review. There is no algorithm that can explain why 25 out of 28 of our reviews are not recommended. We have 1 - 1-star review that is from the previous school year that goes back and forth between the recommended and not recommended list. At the beginning of this school year we really made it a point to start asking our parents to please review us on Yelp, which they did. Some of them even included photos of their children at school. Many of them are long time Yelp customers who have done quite a few reviews through Yelp. Our one disgruntled customer who gave us a 1 star was not a Yelp user and opened her account and ranted about us after we told her that we would need the 30 day notice, which is in our school contract, our parent handbook (which parents sign that they have read and understand), and included in all of the online paperwork that parents have to complete. This parent was very angry that we did not let her slide on the 30 days because she wanted to pull her children out of school early so they could leave early for their Palm Springs home. The hurtful part is that her children had been at our school for 2 years and she was always telling us how thankful they were to have found us. After she continually threatened us with leaving bad reviews, we took $250 off of her tuition. After her tuition was paid, she went ahead and gave us the bad reviews anyway. She reviewed us on Yelp, Google and our Facebook. We did not respond to her because she was super combative and we felt it would have made the situation worse, but we did attempt to file a complaint about the hostile review with Yelp which did absolutely nothing. We read a lot about how we could up our rating and Yelp’s suggestion was to ask our customers if they could review us. So, we started including a Yelp link on our newsletters and emails asking if customers could take a few minutes and review us. We had a few parents take the time to review but not as many as we had hoped. We had parent/teacher conferences coming up in May so we decided to step out of our comfort zone and ask parents in person if they would take the time to give us a Yelp review. Our parents responded better that we could have hoped. Every time a review was posted my daughter and were so excited to read the wonderful comments that our parents wrote about us. However, our excitement didn’t last long because Yelp for one reason or another pulled 25 out of 28 reviews. It was very odd because the 1 star-would be on the not recommended list for a few days, which meant we were back to 5 stars but then it would be back on the recommended list which meant we were back to 3 stars. When you only have 3 out of 28 reviews posted, a 1 -star review has a detrimental effect on your business. Rather than appearing as highly recommended by the other parents in the community, it looks like there might a problem. What is really interesting and beyond frustrating is that during this last school year we have been approached over and over again by a relentless Yelp advertising represented. We are a very small business in a small market and Yelp has hurt us considerably. We explained to him that we are a small business and can’t afford to advertise. Not only that it had never been necessary for us to advertise since for the past 3 years both our AM & PM classes have been full and had waiting lists to get in. However, that’s not the case this year. Our afternoon class graduated to kindergarten and 100% of the morning group moved up to take their place as next year’s pre-k group. The problem we are experiencing is filling up the AM class. After talking to a lot of parents and potential parents we know it is due to the fact that Yelp is not giving a true reflection of our business. When a new family comes to the area or has a child that is ready for preschool, the first place they search is online and whether or not they are on Google or Yelp, Yelp makes us appear as a 3-star school. If we were truly a 3-star school we would read those reviews and make changes, However, all you have to do is read the 25 not recommended reviews to see that we are an excellent school and an important part of this community. Not only is this something we have poured are heart and soul into creating, it is also our livelihood and we are very concerned what this will mean for our school in the future. We need our parents’ reviews posted. Can you help us. Thank you, Margo Swift & Christina Skinner
